Emre’s Peckham kitchen had reached the end of its life. The old units were tired and watermarked, and it wasn’t a room he wanted to spend time in. Rather than patch problems one at a time, he opted to replace the whole space in one go, a more cost effective route than a piecemeal fix.

He wanted more storage and more usable space, without losing the character of the room.

We designed and installed a Caledonia Classic Weisdale kitchen, in a mock inframe shaker style, smooth painted in Calke Green with an Arlington Oak carcase, alongside a Quartz Fog 20mm worktop and a full AEG appliance package.

The Vision

Emre’s brief was straightforward: more room to cook, more room to store, and a kitchen he’d actually want to be in. The old layout hadn’t kept pace with how he used the space, and its condition (worn finishes, watermarked surfaces) made the case for a full replacement rather than a series of smaller repairs.

Stefan worked through the brief with Emre before handing over to Bernard, our Senior Designer, to develop the layout.

The 3D Blueprint

Bernard, our Senior Designer, worked through the layout to prioritise Emre’s two main asks: more usable space and more storage.

The cabinetry was finished in a mock inframe shaker style: a classic shaker profile with the look of an inframe door at a more accessible price point, smooth painted in Calke Green with an Arlington Oak carcase, and wall units in Morning Sky with matching Arlington Oak carcase. An open shelving unit in Arlington Oak was built into the run for everyday storage.

The worktop is Quartz Fog in a 20mm finish, paired with a Caple sink in chalk white and a Caple tap in black. An antique mirror splashback adds depth and reflects light back into the room. Appliances are AEG throughout: a wine cooler, fridge freezer, dishwasher, oven and microwave, alongside a Neff venting hob for integrated extraction without an overhead hood.

The Handover

Stefan, Ruslan and Vanya carried out the install, leaving Emre very happy with his new kitchen, the increase in space and luxurious feel. By handover, Emre had the kitchen he’d dreamed out, and is still very happy with it.
